Welcome to ĀHUA Psychology, your holistic and evidence-based registered psychologist in Wānaka, offering our mahi in-person locally and online throughout Aotearoa New Zealand.
At ĀHUA, our work together is more than just talk. It’s about equipping you with the tools, insights, and knowledge to better understand yourself and take real action in your life. With equal parts compassion and straight-up honesty, Taylor helps you do the deeper work that leads to genuine, lasting change.
Methods BEHIND THE MAHI
Taylor integrates a range of evidence-based approaches, tailoring each session to the person in front of her. These include:
EMDR therapy: EMDR-trained and accredited, supporting the processing of trauma, anxiety, performance blocks, and more. We get to the root cause, unlearning old patterns and relearning new ones so the past no longer drives the present.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): helping people build psychological flexibility, self-compassion, and values-based action for meaningful change that feels authentic and do-able.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): exploring the different “parts” within us with curiosity and compassion. This process helps people make sense of their internal world, ease inner conflict, and feel more grounded and in control.
Somatic and Body-Based Approaches: using the body’s cues to regulate the nervous system, release stored stress, and reconnect mind and body. These approaches help shift patterns that talking alone can’t reach, creating change that’s felt, not just thought about.

Taylor is a registered psychologist based in Wānaka and Tāhuna Queenstown, working with clients in person and online across Aotearoa.
She helps people navigate trauma, anxiety, mood struggles, health challenges, stress, grief, and life’s tougher moments while also supporting those wanting to strengthen their mindset, confidence, and performance.
Her approach is holistic and real. Grounded in science, guided by humility, and focused on helping you feel and function better through whatever life throws your way.
