TAYLOR RAPLEY
PSYCHOLOGIST & FOUNDER

BSc, MSc Psych, PG Dip Psychological Practice
Registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board. Member of the New Zealand Psychological Society, American Psychological Association & Association of Contextual Behavioural Science

Taylor is a registered psychologist based in Wānaka, working with people in person and online across both mental health & performance psychology. Her mahi is about helping people through life’s ups and downs, or backing them as they push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Before stepping into psychology, Taylor spent eight years on the New Zealand Alpine Ski Team, chasing winters and competing against the world’s best. Life on the road and in high-pressure environments from a young age brought its fair share of knocks (both literal and emotional), and plenty of learning. That experience shaped the resilience she now brings to her work with others—whether they're navigating setbacks, loss, or performance plateaus.

After years of competing, studying, and travelling, she found her way back to the mountains—this time with a different mission:

To help people tackle challenges, break free from the past, and show up as their authentic and better selves—so they can make meaningful change where it counts.

She works with a wide range of people— everyday humans, athletes, and those going through tough times.

MENTAL HEALTH MAHI

Taylor supports adults dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, chronic stress, injury, and illness. Her approach is evidence-based and holistic—drawing from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), EMDR, and IFS (Internal Family Systems). She often works collaboratively with other professionals, including those in functional medicine and nutrition, to support the whole person. Together, you’ll explore the things that have shaped you, build practical tools for managing what’s going on now, and reconnect with the kind of person you want to be moving forward.

PERFORMANCE PSYCHOLOGY MAHI

Taylor’s worked with athletes at all levels—from up-and-coming talent to Olympians and World Champions. Having represented New Zealand for almost a decade herself, she knows the pressure, the passion, and the mental challenges that come with high-performance sport.

Her work goes beyond just improving performance. It’s about helping athletes deal with fear, stress, burnout, injury, confidence wobbles, identity questions, and transitions—while still striving to be their best.

She blends ACT, MACT (Mindful ACT in Sport), and EMDR in a way that supports both the athlete and the person behind the athlete. The goal? To help people perform under pressure, with a strong sense of who they are—on and off the sporting arena.

TAYLOR’S APPROACH

Science-backed, but human. Holistic, but practical. Taylor adapts her approach to suit each person—there’s no cookie-cutter here. And she’s not into just talking for the sake of it. Change happens when the work in-session gets applied out there in real life.

OUTSIDE THE THERAPY SPACE

Taylor’s happiest in the mountains or near the ocean—skiing, surfing, mountain biking, or just soaking up the fresh air. Meditation, time in nature, and hanging with good humans is what keeps her grounded.

Taylor works with people in-person in Wānaka and online via Zoom—supporting clients from all around Aotearoa.

GEORGIE CALDWELL
PSYCHOLOGIST

BSc, MSc Psych, PG Dip Psychological Practice
Registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.

Georgie is a down-to-earth psychologist who brings warmth, authenticity, and curiosity to her work. She supports clients to navigate the hard stuff with kindness and compassion—helping them reconnect with their inner strength, make sense of what’s going on, and move toward what matters most.

Georgie’s path into psychology was shaped by a deep interest in self-compassion, both personally and professionally. Her early research and training in this space laid the groundwork for a natural shift into Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which now forms the core of her approach. She also draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy, and trauma-informed practices—offering a flexible, holistic approach that’s tailored to each person she works with.

She supports young people, teens, and adults dealing with a range of concerns—including anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, and the mental health challenges that can arise alongside neurodivergence. Georgie brings a gentle but steady hand to the process, helping clients feel supported while making meaningful change at a pace that works for them.

GEORGIE’S APPROACH

Georgie believes therapy works best when it’s grounded in real connection. No pretence, no pressure—just a space where people feel seen, heard, and supported to explore what matters. Her style is compassionate, evidence-based, and adaptable. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself, Georgie helps you tune in to what’s going on and work with it, rather than against it.

OUTSIDE THE THERAPY SPACE

Georgie recharges by getting out in nature—gardening, walking, or heading to the beach. Slowing down, being present, and connecting with the outdoors keeps her grounded and brings balance to her work.

Georgie is currently based in Te Tai Tokerau, the Far North. She offers sessions online via Zoom—supporting clients across Aotearoa.
