Performing Under Pressure
Pressure is part of high-performance sport, but feeling overwhelmed by it doesn’t have to be.
If you’re reading this, you already know that managing the mental load of elite sport is no walk in the park. That’s where Taylor comes in.
She uses a holistic, evidence-based approach to help athletes stay steady in the chaos, handle pressure, and perform when it matters. Her mahi is about training both mind and body so thoughts, emotions, and nerves can do their thing without derailing your performance or pulling you away from your potential.
Here, you’ll build skills that help you perform and thrive - not just in competition, but in everyday life, no matter what your brain is throwing at you.
Having represented Aotearoa on the world stage for 8 years on the New Zealand Ski Team, Taylor understands firsthand the demands of high-performance environments. That background fuels her commitment to supporting athletes who are walking a similar path.

What do clients say?
“I’ve worked with a lot of performance psychologists who just teach you to always be positive and confident, but that’s so unrealistic and exhausting.
Taylor taught me how accept bad days without letting them get the best of me. I learned how to perform more consistently regardless of my mindset. She taught me to use challenging, often frustrating moments to my advantage - this was honestly very refreshing and calming.
Taylor was also super open about explaining the science behind everything she taught - this has helped me trust the process and continue to use and benefit from these techniques both on and off snow.”

How do 1:1 Sessions Work?
Initial Intake Consultation (50 or 80 minutes)
Your first session will be an initial intake consultation. The purpose of an initial intake consultation is to gain a shared understanding of where you are at and importantly, what you would like to get out of these sessions. I will talk you through my approach and we will decide if it’s a good fit. We will co-create a plan based on your overall needs for therapy or performance.
How often will I attend sessions?
Weekly or fortnightly sessions are typically suggested, and sometimes monthly. Because your plan is unique to you, discussing frequency of sessions will occur during the initial intake consultation. Sessions are for 50 or 80 minutes.
How much does a session cost?
Intake session $220 + gst
50 minutue session $190 + gst
80 minute session $285 + gst
Is there funding available?
Private Health Insurance: Your private health insurance may fund a certain number of sessions with a registered psychologist. Please contact your insurer to find out more.
Will my sessions be confidential?
Everything you share will remain confidential. The only limitations to confidentiality is if you disclose any information that is perceived is an imminent risk or threat to the safety of you or another person(s). This is not a common occurrence, and whenever possible, I share my concerns with you before notifying a third party.
What if I start and don’t want to continue sessions?
You can choose to end sessions whenever you like, there is no obligation to continue with sessions. I will always open space to check in and discuss fit. I make an ongoing effort to cater to your needs, discuss alternative services, and offer referrals.
What if I’m not sure about seeing you?
Talking to someone for the first time can be a little nerve racking. If you’re on the fence, let’s have a chat to see if we’re a good fit.
